Help One Another Canada Foundation partners with the Cultural Interpretation Services for Our Communities (CISOC) to bring to our valuable clients the Community Interpreter and Medical Knowledge and Terminology Certification online training
Our online classes are convenient and flexible. You plan your study time around the rest of your day. All what you need is a compter with high speed Internet connection.
Community Interpreter Training
This online training course is designed for current and would-be community interpreters who wish to further their knowledge or gain new knowledge of interpreting protocols. The course is based on 70 hours of study and includes study materials, case studies, audio recordings, video demonstration and quizzes.
Medical Knowledge and Terminology Certification Training
People in the following categories may seriously consider the certification in Medical Knowledge and Terminology: interpreters; translators; non-medical hospital and community health centre staff; medical insurance providers; and individuals who work as a liaison between medical professionals and the general public.
The course is based on 186 hours of independent study and includes learning materials, quizzes, diagrams, and audio-based pronunciation guides.
Once you complete the online course, you will be ready to take the final exam to become certified community translator or interpreter.
The good thing is that you can make a living from it. Get certified and we will show you how.
The final exam is a two-hour online test.
